Stark County Community Action Agency - Fatherhood

The SCCAA Fatherhood Program was established and designed to meet the challenges and needs of the 21st century dad. It provides support for men as they work to build stronger relationships with their children. Using the 24/7 Dad curriculum, the program focuses on those characteristics that will sharpen parenting skills and foster better communication. Some of the topics discussed include:

•    Fathering and culture
•    Discipline, rewards and punishment
•    Expectations and children’s development
•    Fathering and family roles
•    Handling and expressing emotions
•    Balancing work and family
•    Getting involved with your children
•    Physical and mental health
Guest speakers also service as an additional resource to navigate through child support,
   legal or financial issues.
