Basic Skills / GED Instructor
Stark County Community Action is seeking an Adult Basic Skills / GED Instructor to prepare students for the GED Testing. Must be able to perform TABE pre and post testing for each client entering the program, teach curriculum grade 8 – 12 levels in English and Math, develop testing to strengthen weak areas and evaluate progress. Must have a BA in Education with a current State of OH Teaching license; at least 3 years of experience teaching/instructing adults. Excellent written and oral kills, dependable and a self-starter; possess an insurable state of Ohio driver’s license and own transportation. Must have experience and the ability to work with economically disadvantaged individuals, and be sensitive to their needs. Hourly Rate: $13.98 an hour with an excellent benefit package is offered. Lead Teacher, Stark County Community Action Agency Head Start Program, will implement Early Childhood Development program curriculum and activities which take into consideration cultural, social, and economic backgrounds, emotional or physical disabilities, and individual style and pace of learning to ensure a holistic and comprehensive delivery of services. Minimum requirements a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minimum of four (4) months documented successful experience in a pre-school/child care environment. Salary $10.50 hr.
Teacher Assistant - Minimum requirements an Associates Degree in Early Childhood.
Substitue CDL Bus Driver - Must have clean driving record and background check, a current CDL with an SP endorsement. Part time hours with 16-20 hours per week; Monday through Thursday, no weekends. DFWP, EEOE
